Getting around in Angers and its surroundings can be done in several ways; by foot, bicycle, car, or public transport. Here’s the list of the most common means of transportation:

  • Bicycle: all Angers residents can borrow a bicycle for free for one year. Go to the Vélocité webpage or contact the Infocampus helpdesk.
  • Bus and tramway: the Irigo public transportation service (15 bus lines and tramway) allows residents to easily get around the city and adjacent suburbs.
  • Coach: most of the Maine et Loire region is covered by the regional transport system Aleop. It is possible to visit the region by coach.
  • Train: For all your travel needs, SNCF Voyageurs and the Pays de la Loire Region are offering season tickets and discount cards, so you can travel at reduced prices: Season ticket / Fares and discount cards
  • Carpooling: carpooling is economical and user-friendly, for example with the apps Blablacar and Blablacar Daily.
  • Others: Destineo is a platform that allows you to create an itinerary combining different means of transportation (bus, train, bicycle, walking).
